Vädur is a folk music band consisting of four young, highly skilled instrumentalists with great energy and a strong stage presence. Together, they have established themselves as an exciting new addition to the Swedish folk music scene. Drawing on the members’ diverse musical backgrounds, Vädur creates fresh and compelling music firmly rooted in the Nordic folk tradition.

Delicate string melodies with carefully crafted arrangements alternate with intricate rhythms and danceable grooves that set the whole room in motion. Their relatively unusual instrumentation (for Nordic folk) allows them to playfully switch musical roles with one another and effortlessly fill the entire soundscape. Four distinct personal expressions and musical backgrounds are seamlessly interwoven on stage into a unified force that draws in both dedicated folk enthusiasts and curious newcomers.
